How it works

How LightWell Care caregiver support works

A plain explanation of what LightWell Care does, what it does not do, and how the assistants and the printable Care Journal fit together.

How the assistants work

You describe what is happening in your own words — a confusing document, an appointment coming up, a decision you are weighing, a family message you need to send. You never have to pick the right tool first.

The assistant responds to your specific situation: explaining unfamiliar language, organizing your questions, suggesting talking points, or drafting an update you can edit before sending. You stay in charge of what you keep and what you share.

What LightWell Care can and cannot do

LightWell Care provides general educational, organizational, and navigation support. It does not diagnose conditions, recommend treatment, or replace clinicians, care managers, emergency services, or family decision-making.

Do I need to be comfortable with technology?

No. Everything is designed for people who are tired and stretched thin — large text, clear steps, and no complicated menus. If you would rather start on paper, the free printable Care Journal needs no account at all.

Using the Care Journal and the assistants together

The printable Care Journal is where you capture things by hand: medications, daily notes, appointments, questions, emergency information, and family updates. Nothing syncs automatically.

When you want help with something you wrote down, you decide what to type into an assistant — to organize your questions, explain a term, prepare for a conversation, or draft an update.
