Caregiving is exhausting enough. This site should not add to it.
Our commitment
LightWell Care aims to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We design for tired eyes and one-handed phone use: plain language, generous text sizes, and calm contrast rather than decoration.
What we build in
- Text and interface colors are checked against WCAG AA contrast ratios.
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with visible focus outlines.
- A “skip to content” link appears as soon as you press Tab.
- Images carry descriptive alternative text, and decorative art is hidden from screen readers.
- Headings follow a real outline so screen reader users can jump around.
- Layouts reflow to 200% zoom and to small screens without horizontal scrolling.
- The printable Care Journal is designed for high-contrast black-and-white printing.
Known limitations
Some third-party embeds and older blog content may not fully meet our standard yet. We fix these as we find them.
